Parents of elementary or middle school children are frequently looking for activities such as summer camps or museum visits to get their children interested in science. High school students are constantly looking for science camps, internships and volunteer opportunities to bolster their knowledge in science. It takes searching multiple sites and spending considerable amount of time to get a comprehensive view of all the opportunities that are available.
The Science Gateway section provides students and their parents consolidated access to the various STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) oriented activities, such as camps, competitions, museums, internships, and volunteer opportunities available in a specific region. The information is categorized by geographic region and grade level (elementary, middle and high school) to make it easy to find specific activities in the region of interest.
If you know of a new activity or resource that you would like to see added to the Science Gateway section please select Science Gateway Submit Resource from the Science Gateway drop down menu. To correct any information that is presented in the Science Gateway section, please email sciencegateway@ScienceGurus.org.
